Being Education’s vision for the future of education

Our Vision

To empower educators in aiding children to realise their unlimited potential and abilities. To inspire education to include learning about who we are, in order to make better decisions about what we do.

Our Values

Integrity - be open and transparent. Completing our work because we truly believe it is to the benefit of all beings in Aotearoa and beyond.

Humanity - we are all connected and therefore all actions have an effect on humanity as a whole. We are intrinsically linked.

Gratitude - we are grateful to be able to provide these resources and support to the kaiako and tamariki of Aotearoa. We are grateful for the opportunity to be here at this time of the Earth’s evolution to help enable change.

Respect - for all being on our planet and their ability to flourish in our collective environment.

The focus of Being Education is to teach children to take control of who they are being and take this knowledge into what they are doing. In traditional education we focus of doing. My aim is to first teach children about being human and all that this entails.

Overview of topics in The Classroom Connections Project

How is this project set up?

CONNECTING with SELF

Character strengths, Inner dialogue, Optimism, Mindfulness and Meditation.

By gaining an understanding of what makes them feel good, their strengths and their ability to take control of their lives, tamariki gain huge amounts of confidence, a sense of identity and an ability to recognise how they can look after themselves now and in the future.

CONNECTING with OTHERS

Kindness and Gratitude

Tamariki learn how to show kindness to others and develop a sense of gratitude towards life. Children learn that each of these things are beneficial to both the giver and the receiver. They develop an understanding of the effect they can have on others as well as an understanding of positive relationships.

CONNECTING TO THE WIDER WORLD

Goal setting, Visualisation and the Environment

Tamariki learn that they have the ability to make great changes in the world. What they choose to do has a direct affect on the world around them, now and in the future.
